PRP is a cell-based therapy resulting in tissue engineering using stem cells, growth factors and platelets from your blood. Blood is collected via aseptic venipuncture. The blood is placed into blood tubes and then placed in a centrifuge. The plasma is then collected from the blood tube and injected into the skin using a needle or cannula.

How does PRP work and what are the benefits?

It works by stimulating collagen production, using your own cells ultimately resulting in a more youthful appearance. There is also a considerable amount of research on the benefit of fibroblast function.

Research shows PRP can:

  • improve skin texture,

  • reduce wrinkles

  • minimize the appearance of acne scars.

  • Stimulate hair transplant growth

What areas can be treated with PRP?

  • Tear Trough

  • Scalp – Hair Rejuvenation

  • Lips

  • Nasolabial folds

  • Can be used in combination with micro needling

Am I a good Candidate?

  • In over all good health

  • No bleeding/platelet disorders

A comprehensive history and health assessment will be required prior to procedure by an authorized professional.

What to Expect?

The procedure itself can take anywhere from 30-60 min depending on the area being treated and if micro-needling was added to the procedure. Ice and numbing cream may be applied to minimize pain with procedure. You may experience some discomfort, bruising, redness and swelling to the areas of injection. For best results it is recommended to have a minimum treatment series of three treatments one month to six weeks apart. Maintenance treatment is recommended every 9 to 12 months.
